unbvmfGcmc** UNB-VMF1 on a global grid with 2.0x2.5 degree grid size 1 day
unbvmfGcmc is produced with an oragraphy based on oragraphy.ell*
Utlizes the CMC's GDPS (Global Deterministic Prediction System). Epochs 06h and 18h are based on 6h forecasts. This is due to the fact that the GDPS is only initialized every 12h.
unbvmfP** Forecast UNB-VMF1 on a global grid with 2.0x2.5 degree grid size 0 days
unbvmfP is produced with an oragraphy based on oragraphy.ell*
Utilizes the CMC's GDPS (Global Deterministic Prediction System). Produced with 24h, 30h, 36h and 42h forecasts from the current days 00z NWP model initialization time.

*oragraphy.ell is the same as the one utilized by the current VMF1 service. The file can be downloaded from their servce at. http://ggosatm.hg.tuwien.ac.at/DELAY/

**unbvmfGcmc and unbvmfP will not be reproduced for any missing dates. This is due to the rolling data server in which the datasets are offered from the CMC. These products will be produced for all days in which source weather data is available.

Data provided by the UNB Vienna Mapping Function Service is provided using the http protocol in the following directory structure:

The UNB Vienna Mapping function service provides data four times daily correspondiong to the cycle time of the associated numerical weather model (00z, 06z, 12z and 18z).

Data Access

Data products are accessed by utilizing the http protocal. Data can be accessed through your web browser, or a script can be run using wget. Data is added to the archive daily at hour 00:00:00. The following is an example of the location of a file for April 20, 2012 at hour 00:

When Navigating though the directory structure in the web browser, right click the inteded file and select download linked file (command may differ with browser).
